The afternoon's event opened with Associate Dean for Multicultural Affairs Darryl Smaw welcoming guests to Sara Lawrence Lightfoot Professor Emerita of History Kathryn Morgan's home-going celebration. Carolyn Mitchell '74 (10:15) then spoke of Dr. Morgan's impact on her students, followed by a performance by the Alumni/Student Gospel Choir (14:10), led by Vaneese Thomas '74. After a welcome from Associate Dean for Multicultural Affairs Darryl Smaw, the celebration featured performances by the Alumni/Student Gospel Choir, led by Vaneese Thomas '74, poet Kinei Braithwaite '08, and dancer and artist Jeannine Osayunde.
